Get to Know Me

Welcome!

I’m Taylor Walker, the founder of RestoreHer Wellness, an integrative women's health practice. Born and raised in California and living part-time in the vibrant culture of Bali, I offer a virtual practice accepting patients spanning from San Diego to Bali. My path to becoming an Integrative Medicine Health Coach has been influenced by both my professional journey and my personal experience with endometriosis.

My Story

My wellness journey began during my undergraduate studies while I was pursuing a Bachelors in Psychology and minor in Counseling and Social Change at San Diego State University. My initial goal was to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. During this time, my health was at its worst. I experienced overwhelming fatigue, brain

After just seven days on the pill, I felt like a stranger in my own body, with symptoms intensifying and multiplying. I knew I had to find another way to heal myself, and I was in denial I could be the only one experiencing this.

That was the beginning of my personal experiment with

fog, mood swings, and fluctuating appetite—going from relentless hunger to barely being able to eat. I battled intense cravings, bloating, and extreme inflammation, which brought body image and disordered eating. I was lifting weights, running four miles a day, under eating, under-sleeping, and over-caffeinating- unknowingly setting my body on fire from the inside, and believing that I was doing everything right.

life style changes- changing my exercise, nutrition, sleep, adding a supplement routine, removing consumption of substances. As I started to feel a little better, I left for Florence, Italy, to study abroad in the spring of 2023. While there, I immersed myself in wellness-related courses—nutrition, sports therapy, Italian culinary arts, and more. It was during this time that I realized: I could help someone in therapy for years, but without proper sleep, healthy nutrition, and daily movement, their overall wellness—and thus their mental health—would

“normal”. Despite multiple visits to my primary care physician, pleading for an OBGYN referral, I wasn’t able to see a specialist until I turned 18, due to system requirements. At that appointment, a six centimeter cyst was discovered, and I was quickly scheduled for a laparoscopy in October 2022, where an incidental finding of endometriosis was made. I was relieved to finally have a “cause”, but the prescribed solution—strict birth control—only made things worse and still did not reach the root issue.

continue to suffer. This insight inspired me to broaden my education and focus on the multiple pillars of wellness that contribute to overall health.

Upon returning home, I immediately pursued my Master of Science in Kinesiology, Integrative Wellness from Point Loma Nazarene University. Now, I continue to learn what works for my body and what doesn’t. With most hormone-related conditions, there is no final "healing” or cure. It’s a lifelong pursuit of wellness, a constant effort to understand what supports our bodies in feeling its best. You know yourself best.
